Plant Protection Research Group (PPRG) was established to find out innovative control way for plant pests and diseases in early 2018. The overall goal of PPRG is to study host insect-microbe-pathogen interactions to use that knowledge to manipulate these interactions in insect vectors of plant diseases to interfere with pathogen transmission. A second area of research is to evaluate the resistance of cultivars to the pests and diseases to find and introduce the most resistance cultivars to farmer.  In addition, we work closely with deep learning research group to use deep learning models for plant pests and diseases detection and diagnosis.
